This tour is for anyone wanting an elevated tour experience and a more complete understanding of Abraham Lincoln.

The tour will move at your pace, but it takes 4 hours to do these sites justice. We can break for lunch, a snack, or tour straight through without costing your time.

This tour garners positive reviews and is in high demand with dates filling  quickly during peak season.

On your tour day:

Meet your guide just outside the park visitor center. We'll walk and tour through the entire 4-block national park where I'll tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Lincoln's home life as a father and husband. We'll be able to walk right up to the house and into the backyard. We'll talk about Lincoln's neighbors and exhibits in the streets.

Next, either using my Grand Dodge Caravan, or your own vehicle, we'll drive downtown where I'll guide you through the political life of Abraham Lincoln in the Old State Capitol where he served in the Illinois legislature. We'll talk talk about his lawyer life, some of his court cases, and his rise into national politics.

Finally, we'll drive out to Oak Ridge Cemetery where the Lincoln history comes full circle as we pay our respects before Lincoln's grave inside the impressive Lincoln Family Tomb. After our tomb visit we'll drive down the hill to the old receiving vault where Lincoln was originally laid to rest prior to the tomb.  We'll end the tour here.

Again, it takes 4-hours to do these 3 major Lincoln sites justice. However, as time allows we may be able to drive by other historical sites, or spend time touring through the old section of the cemetery where the Lincoln's extended family is buried, his law partners, ten civil War generals, and other contemporaries of Lincoln, including one very naughty bishop!
